Career Posting – Industrial Mechanic

Position Summary:
Assemble, test, service and install metallurgical processing equipment domestically and internationally.  Technician would assemble mechanical equipment using prints and schematics in an industrial shop environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assembles and assists in the assembly of hydraulic systems. Troubleshoots as needed.
  • Assembles and assists in the assembly of pneumatic systems. Troubleshoots as needed.
  • Performs welding including MIG, TIG, and stick.
  • Rigs own lifts and/or assist in rigging lifts.
  • Operates overhead bridge crane, jib cranes (1-20 ton) and various sizes of forklifts.
  • Performs various types of plumbing including threading pipe, soldering copper pipe, and bending hydraulic tubing.
  • Performs installation and/or trouble shooting work at customer job sites both international and domestic.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • One+ years work experience in mechanical maintenance, assembly in a manufacturing plant, millwright work, or similar.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Able to read mechanical drawings and assemble equipment from mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing (water, gas, hydraulics).
  • Pipe Fitting – welded, threaded, solder, glued.
  • Machine tool operation – drill motors, grinders, etc.
  • Basic understanding of vacuum technology, theory and practice.
  • Overhead crane operation and rigging.

Additional Job Requirements:
Must be able and willing to travel to international and domestic sites for sales, installation, and customer service support for durations up to 6 weeks at a time.
