To meet the customer's individual requirements, Retech offers both single-chamber and multiple-chamber casting furnaces, and either can be equipped with centrifugal casting capabilities.
Single-chamber systems combine melting and casting in a single vessel. Most of our Consumable Electrode Casting Systems are single chamber for quick-cycle processing. This configuration does not provide a separate chamber for varied cool/melt production systems, but is very effective for single ingot, one person operation.
Multiple-chamber systems permit casting removal and electrode replacement while maintaining melting chamber atmosphere. This system is used when there is more than one ingot or casting being cooled while the next one is melted and poured. On a conveyor-type system, the hot mold is moved to a sealed chamber where the atmosphere is controlled and the mold can be cooled at a constant rate, sealing the main chamber where the next mold can be prepared. This is an efficient process for moving a high volume of material.
