Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) Furnaces FAQ’s

Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) utilizes induced electrical eddy currents to cause heating of a work piece that is placed within and coupled (connected) to those invisible currents.

Retech’s Vacuum Induction Furnaces can easily handle a wide range of materials used in everything from automotive and consumer products to critical, high-value equiax, directionally solidified or single-crystal aerospace parts. In fact, Retech pioneered the design and engineering of equipment used in the production of the first single-crystal turbine blades and continues to provide high-yield furnaces with low operating costs.
