A Research and Development furnace, VAR-R offers the same features as VAR-T and VAR-S, but with added versatility, reduced footprint, and lower costs.

The research environment typically involves small sizes, hands-on operation, and single melts. A Retech VAR-R furnace design is a value-engineered arrangement providing a lower net investment and a reduced cost of ownership appropriate for research and development operations. The VAR-R is a versatile, skid-mounted furnace optimal for small-diameter ingots.

VAR-R systems give researchers the capability to validate processes and test parameters at a micro scale. Crucially, the process and metallurgy developed on Retech’s VAR-R Furnace are fully scalable, allowing researchers and manufacturers to seamlessly transition successful trials up to industrial production volumes.
